Minister Han Changfu meets his Bulgarian counterpart

Minister Han Changfu met with Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva in Beijing on Nov. 26, 2015. The two sides exchanged views on deepening the bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Minister Han noted that China and Bulgaria enjoy steady and healthy development in bilateral relations with fruitful cooperation in economy and trade and other fields. The bilateral agricultural cooperation has been advancing steadily. To step up the bilateral agricultural cooperation, Minister Han put forward the following suggestions: first, make good use of multilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum and the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEEC, to boost bilateral and multilateral agricultural cooperation; second, create a favorable environment in both countries for mutual investments from enterprises to boost bilateral agricultural investment and trade; and third, promote the bilateral cooperation in agricultural S&T.
Minister Desislava Taneva fully agreed with Minister Han on his suggestions and expressed her willingness to work with China to further strengthen the agricultural cooperation.
Chief Economist Bi Meijia and other senior officials also attended the meeting.
